Obituary

GARDINER - Sharon Ann Brown, age 76, went home to be with the Lord, Jan. 6, 2019, at Glenridge Nursing Home, in Augusta, with her loving husband and family by her side.

She was born Aug. 29, 1942, in Gardiner, daughter of Irvin and Josephine (Brown) Hathaway. She attended the Gardiner public schools and graduated from Gardiner High School in 1962. She married "the boy next door" Wallace (Pud) Brown, Aug. 25, 1962. She was a member of the Gardiner Church of Nazarene. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She enjoyed reading, going for drives, breakfast at Dave's Diner, and spending time with family and friends.

She is predeceased by her mother and father; sisters-in-law, Wynnie Hathaway and Lorraine Hathaway, brothers Irvin, Robert, Donald, David, Dewey, Richard, and John Hathaway; and nephew, Jonathan Hathaway.

She is survived by her husband, Wallace Brown Jr.; daughter, Heather Basson and her husband, Jody, son, Matthew Brown and his wife, Rona; grandchildren Trey and Craig Basson, Melissa Mocciola and her husband, Zac, Emily and Stephanie Brown, and Robynn Fortner; sister-in-law, Lillian Dolloff, brother, Paul Hathaway and his wife, Terry, and sister, Jane Cone; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at this time. A burial in Litchfield Plains Cemetery, Litchfield, will be held in the spring.
