RUSSELL DAVID BROWN
1954 - 2018

WATERVILLE - Russell David Brown, 64, formally of Cisco, Texas, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Lakewood Continuing Care Center in Waterville and is now with the Lord. He was born in Marlborough, Mass. on Feb. 23, 1954, the son of the late R.L. Brown and Ethel Marie Brown.

Russell enjoyed traveling and working in the outdoors. In his younger years, Russell worked on the oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico; he enjoyed his job and lived on the bayou in Louisiana. He was a man of many talents; he could work on machines, and could build just about anything.

He loved helping his mother, for they had lost his father and his three brothers at a young age. Russell also had a great bond with his daughter, Jolene. They loved to travel across the country together. There is no greater bond between a father and daughter as they had for each other. There is nothing he wouldn't do for her. In his later years, he was a long haul truck driver, hauling steel and many goods across the southern United States. He was a southern gentleman, loving son, father, grandfather, and brother.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his three brothers, Richard Lee Brown, Robert Wayne Brown, and Frank Alan Brown.

He is survived by his daughter, Jolene Brown and her fiancé, Irving Crommett; his grandchildren, Jenna Jolene Gaudette, Emily Ann Crommett, and James Russell Crommett all of Clinton; his sister, Carol Sasseville and her husband, Donald of Cisco, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield, with Pastor Bill Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Cisco, Texas at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lakewood Continuing Care Center and Beacon Hospice for providing care, kindness, and comfort to Russell.
