WATERVILLE – Roger P. Talbot, 84, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, went peacefully to the Lord on Nov. 28, 2018. He was born on Jan. 21, 1934, in Waterville, the youngest son of Cyril and Rose (Morency) Talbot.

He attended Waterville schools and graduated from Waterville High School in 1952. He received an Associates Degree from UMA in 1977

Roger served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged in 1959. He was formerly employed at Scott Paper Company in Winslow for over 40 years.

He was married to Suzanne Veilleux on May 30, 1955. Together, they shared a life of love and devotion to each other and their two children. He devoted his life to being a wonderful, loving and caring husband. He was a long-time and active member of Corpus Christi (formerly St John the Baptist) parish.

Dad loved to learn, he was always reading something. He also liked to putter around the house or one of the several apartments that they owned and rented over the years. He was the King of bad jokes, both in French and English. Later in life, he and Suzanne greatly enjoyed exploring their genealogy and French-Canadian heritage. He also loved to watch his Boston Bruins.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother Donald and sister Orita. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Suzanne Talbot of Waterville; his children, Michael Talbot and his wife Janis of Bradenton, Fla.; Robert Talbot and his wife Susan of Naperville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Christopher Talbot and his wife Jessica, Jessica Woitka and her husband Jay, Casey Talbot, Olivia Talbot and Joseph Talbot; three great-grandchildren, Alexander, Lily and Luke; his brothers, Gerard Talbot and his wife Lucille, Roland Talbot, sister Jane Paquet and her husband Jean; as well as dozens of nieces and nephews. He was very close to in-laws Reggie Couture, Ray and Yvonne Lefebvre, Lucille Boulet and Gabrielle Veilleux, all of the Waterville area.

At his request, there will be no public visiting hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, in May, 2019 (exact date and timing tbd). Committal prayers and burial will follow at St Francis Cemetery in Waterville.

Thank you to all the caregivers at Oak Grove home in Waterville for making his time there welcoming and comfortable.
