Robert "Bob" Nutting
1955 - 2015
ALASKA - Robert "Bob" W. Nutting, 60 of Fairbanks, Alaska unexpectedly left us on Dec. 5, 2015. Born April 16, 1955, at Franklin County Hospital in Farmington, he was raised in West Mills, a part of Industry. In 1972, he graduated and enlisted into the U.S. Army where he served several years, being stationed and serving in Alaska. He was discharged with honors. While serving in Alaska he met his wife, Alice. They settled in Northway. He spent his years in the areas of Northway, Delta and, finally, Fairbanks, only going for visits to Maine.
He worked different jobs, truck driving mostly and the department of transportation on the Alaska highway. Everyone knew him as a cabdriver for King Cab. He had many friends throughout Maine and Alaska.
He is survived by parents, Otto C. Nutting and Inez G. Reynolds; brothers, Otto C. Nutting, Jr. and David A. Nutting, sister, Susan M. Cook; uncles, Harold and Clarence "Buster" Nutting in Maine; many nieces , nephews; and cousins.
He is also survived by wife, Alice; sons, Clarence and Lucas, daughter, Sheree, adopted children, Allen, Jr. and Alicia, in Alaska.
He is being laid to rest at the Northway Cemetery.
