Dr. Réjean Lebel
1941 - 2017
SKOWHEGAN - Dr. Réjean Lebel, 76, passed away Sunday July 16, 2017, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Mass. with loving family by his side. He was born in Trois-Rivières, Québec, Canada, son of the late Narcisse and Rosianne (Lacrose) Lebel.
Réjean was an Orthopedic Surgeon at Redington Fairview Hospital from 1985 until his retirement in 2000.
Réjean was beloved and respected by his family, friends, and colleagues for his undying passion of life and his dedicated love for his work. He loved skiing, hiking, fly fishing, classical music, literature, and most of all exploring the world through his travels.
He is survived by his loving partner of 24 years, Vickie Gamache, and his very special fur baby Brigitte; three children, Caroline Lebel (Nicolas Menard) of Québec City, Canada, Geneviève Lebel of Concord, N.H. and Marc Lebel of Montréal, Canada, stepdaughters Bethany Fromwiller and husband Mike of Sanford, and Amanda Wells and husband Joel Wells of Beaumont, Texas; his siblings, the brothers, Claude Lebel and partner Agathe Rousseau, Jacques Lebel and his wife Christine, Jules Lebel and his wife Yolande all of Québec City, Canada, and his sister Nichole Hart and husband Jim of Ottawa, Canada; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday the 27th of July at St. Francis Cemetery, 78 Grove St., Waterville, Maine 04901.
