Richard "Dick" Elmer Dore
1931 - 2018
FAIRLAWN, Va. - Richard "Dick" Elmer Dore, 86, passed away on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at his home in Fairlawn with his wife by his side.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Blacksburg and a U. S. Air Force veteran. He was retired from Gardiner Hospital in Gardiner, Maine, and was also the owner of Dore Way Enterprise.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mary Dore; and his daughter, Barbara Rowe.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Elizabeth "Betty" D. Dore of Fairlawn; daughters, Catherine Ridlen of Colorado and Angela Atkins of Radford, son, Robert Masciadri of Maine; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his canine companions, Joey and Frankie.
Memorial services will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Blacksburg, Va., with Father John Asare officiating. The Dore family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
