1935 - 2017
FARMINGDALE - Oliver J. Larrabee passed away from our lives on Thursday Oct. 26, 2017, after a short illness with cancer at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Long Term Care at Gray Birch in Augusta, where he received the best possible care by the entire staff.
The son of Nellie and Joseph Larrabee, he was born in Augusta, and lived in Windsor. After high school he joined the Navy and served overseas with the NMCB-4 Seabee Naval Construction Force, in Rota Spain where he found and married the love of his life, Concepcion Larrabee.
He was stationed in Cuba during the missile crisis of 1962, and there he served in Europe once again till his honorable discharge from the Navy.
He settled down with his family in Farmingdale and started his own business, Larrabee's Plumbing and Heating, from 1968 until his retirement in 2012.
His hobby's were his love for his family, good friends, and travel which he loved to do as much as possible, as well as giving to those in need.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Concepcion; son, Joseph; grandchildren, Scott, Steven, and Michael; great-grandchildren Leilah, Machennah, Isabellla, Emily, Brenden, and Trevor. He will always be missed deeply by his family and friends.
A private funeral will be held at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
