Norman L. Gosselin
1955 - 2018
READFIELD - Norman L. Gosselin, 62, of White Birch Drive, died peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, April 9, 2018, at Maine Medical Center, Portland. He was born on Oct. 14, 1955, in Augusta, the son of Laurent and Joan Gosselin.
Norm worked 40 years as a Boiler Engineer at Statler Tissue and most recently at Cascade Auburn Fiber.
He was an avid snowmobiler and enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing, ice fishing, traveling to the Caribbean, BBQ's, family gatherings, company at the lake and especially being with his family. Norm was a member of the Elks Club 964 in Augusta.
Norm was a man who enjoyed life and being with his family. He especially enjoyed those times with his son whom he loved dearly, his daughter-in-law who he loved to banter with and his wife just chilling out together. Norm was quick witted, throwing one-liners, often derogatory, causing big chuckles from all. Anyone who knew Norm knew him to be a hard worker but he also knew how to relax and have a good time.
The loss of Norm will leave a huge void in the hearts of everyone he knew and he will never be forgotten.
Norm was predeceased by his father. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Patsy of Readfield; son Norm Gosselin and wife Jackie of Winthrop; mother Joan Gosselin of Augusta; brothers Raymond Gosselin and wife Linda and Marc Gosselin and wife Laura all of China, sisters Diane Overlock and husband Ken of Freedom, Angela Brooks and husband Chad of Newburg; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also survived by brothers-in-law Ronnie Bouffard and wife Lisa, Reggie Bouffard and wife Paula and Bob Bouffard and wife Mayette.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, April the 13, at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Augusta. Arrangements are under the care of Funeral Alternatives, 198 Western Ave., Augusta, ME 04330
