Noreen Marjorie Jane Robinson
1919 - 2018
GARDINER - Noreen Marjorie Jane Robinson, 98, of Gardiner, passed peacefully Aug. 10, 2018, at the Hillside Terrace in Hallowell.
Noreen was born Nov. 16, 1919 in Lennoxville, P.Q. Canada to Rev. Walter R. and F. May (Bradley) Ramsay.
Noreen was educated in New Brunswick and Addision schools. She graduated from Addison High School in 1938, valedictorian of her class. She graduated from the Golding School of Beauty in
Portland.
She met and married the love of her life Harlon Robinson while living in Addison. The two of them enjoyed a long happy life together. Before their children were born they traveled together and once their children were grown they traveled even more, visiting Japan, Newfoundland, England, Ireland, Scotland the Maritime Provinces of Canada, and many States, California, Kentucky and Florida to name some.
Noreen had many friends and enjoyed participating in various groups and organizations such as the Eastern Star and Grange while in Addison. During her life in Gardiner she was a member of the Current Events Club, the Chelsea Grange, the Lucy Loring Club of the Gardiner Congregational Church, and participated with her husband in the Lions Club.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband Harlon, a brother, Lennox of Addison; a daughter Patricia M Grant; and Judy's partner in life, Roscoe L. Ryan.
Noreen is survived by three children: Judith Robinson of Palermo, Janice Lathrop and partner Wayne Jackson of Randolph, Pamela Mansir and husband Mark of South Gardiner; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two nephews Robert and Ronald Ramsay and their families.
The family would like to take this opportunity to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Hillside Terrace and Beacon Hospice for the care and support they have
provided.
At Noreen's request there will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Aug. 25, 2018, at 2 p.m., at the Randolph United Methodist Church, 9 Asbury Street, Randolph.
