Michael K. Luce
1963 - 2018
MADISON - Michael K. Luce, 54, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 8, 2018.
He was born in Skowhegan on Oct. 22, 1963, to Kendall R. Luce and Mariane (Vining) Luce.
Mike attended Madison High School and left to work full-time. He received his GED later in life. Michael was an extremely hard worker at farming, logging, roofing, carpentry -- a "Jack of all Trades." Working in the woods is where he was the happiest. Mike loved fishing, reading, watching the Red Sox and "Fiddle Headin." He loved to make people laugh.
He was a great man and so strong. Michael was bold and jovial; a rare, larger-than-life character, one who was loved by many.
He was predeceased by his father, Kendall R. Luce; grandparents, Roland and Elsie Luce; and grandparents, Mary and Elbridge Vining Sr. He is survived by daughters, Tonia (Bird) Reid and husband, Punky, of Clinton; Tori (Peekaboos) Luce, of Madison; and Tari (Baby) Luce, of Anson; his mother, Mariane Luce, of Readfield; his sisters, Tamara DeRosby and husband, Craig, of Readfield; Brenda LeBlond, of Fairfield; Kimberly Parker and husband, Brian, of Fairfield; Lisa Hodge and fiancé, Eric Anderson, of Windham; and Kristi Luce, of Jay; and his best friend who was like a brother, Calvin Bessey, of Madison. He is also survived by grandchildren, Tyler, Adam, Skylah, Natily, Jazmyne, McKenzie and Elainea; and many, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
There will be a potluck Celebration of Life held April 29, 2018, at the VFW from noon-5 p.m. in Madison, for family and friends.
