WATERVILLE - Sister Martin (Lucille Therese) Drouin, 93, passed from this life to the next on Dec. 28, 2018. She was born in Waterville on Nov. 26, 1925, a daughter of Sadre Blanche (Pleau) and Philip Joseph Drouin.

She pronounced her Religious Vows as an Ursuline Sister of the Roman Union in 1946. Her seventy-two years of dedicated ministry in Community was that of prayer and service in communities in both Maine and Massachusetts.

She always prayed for our Academies and for the families of our students. People often stopped by the Convent to request prayers for particular family members in need. She is best known as, "The nun who prays".

Sister is survived by her sister, Sr. Constance Drouin, a Sister of Charity in New Hampshire.

She was predeceased by three sisters: Florence (Drouin) Traffon, Jeanette Drouin, Rita Drouin; and her brother, Brother Philip A. Drouin, a Brother of Christian Instruction, Alfred.

The Ursuline Sisters and Sister's family wish to thank the staff at St. Angela Way Convent, Inland Hospital and Maine General Hospice Care.
