MANCHESTER - Linda A. Knowles. 68, of Manchester, died Wednesday Dec. 19, 2018, in Boston after a short illness. She was born in Waterville April 8, 1950, the daughter of Lionel and Laurette (Gero) Caron.Linda cherished her time with her husband, family, friends and three dogs, "Pumpkin"," Lucy', and "Abby" who were her whole world. Linda spent the majority of her working career at Hammond Lumber Company where she gave nearly 40 years of devotion as a credit manager. She enjoyed the boating adventures she shared with the "Boating crew" They had many voyages and spent countless hours painting the town in Boothbay or wherever they docked. Vacationing in Florida with close friends, enjoying the sunsets and making wonderful memories was an enjoyable treat. Linda also very much enjoyed camping and spending time with her friends at Foggy Bottom which was her second home. Linda could be found on weekends in ice arenas, basketball courts and on the sporting fields where she enjoyed watching and rooting on her grandchildren and grandnieces and nephews. She cherished this with all her heart. The love and devotion she shared with her family and friends was paramount.Linda was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Warren Knowles, and her sister, Nancy Patrie.She is survived by her son, Darren Knowles and his wife Heather of Manchester; her grandchildren, Cam and Emma Knowles; her mother-in-law, Joanne Knowles; her niece, Sabrina Dyke and her husband John of Canton; her nephew, Bruce Salsbury and his wife Julie of Fairfield; her grandnieces and nephews, Alexandria Dyke, Brittani Salsbury Welch, Danielle, Zachary and Mariah Salsbury; and her aunt, Patricia Holmes and her husband Scott of Waterville.A celebration of life service will be held at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, One Church St. in Augusta, Sunday Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m. until service time.Spring burial will take place at the Manchester Forks Cemetery.Memories, condolences, photos, and videos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of our website at www.familyfirstfuneralhomes.comIn lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Linda's name to:Kennebec ValleyHumane Society10 Pet Haven Ln.Augusta, Maine 04330
