His retirement in February 2018 was well deserved, but sadly much too short. He married Helen Mathieu on Sept. 18, 1976. They were blessed to share 42 years together and raise two sons. John had an unwavering Christian faith that guided him throughout his life.He always put his family first. His wife, Helen, and sons, Daniel and David, were his greatest joy. John enjoyed coaching his sons' hockey teams when they were younger. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a fan of all of the Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox and Boston Bruins. He loved playing golf, fishing with his brother and spending time with his family. Most Saturday mornings he met up with a group of co-workers and friends for breakfast. John is survived by his wife, Helen of Waterville; his son, Daniel and wife, Kahli, of Waterville; his son David of Wells; his brother, Peter Nadeau and wife, Sharon, of Winslow; his brother, James Nadeau and wife, Janet, of Winslow; his brother-in-law, David Mathieu of Waterville; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. His endless love for all of us will never be forgotten.
