Emaline Ellen (Sanner) McClintock
1924 - 2018
WELLINGTON - Emaline Ellen (Sanner) McClintock, 94, went to be with her husband Estol (MAC) McClintock of 69 years on Jan. 9, 2018. She was being cared for at the Augusta Veteran's Home at the time of her passing with loved ones surrounding her.
She served in the Navy for two years before marrying her childhood sweetheart in Rockwood, Pa. After leaving the Navy, Emaline became a proud, strong, and dedicated Army wife. Together, she and MAC lived in Pennsylvania, Kansas, Georgia, Virginia, Maine, and even Germany. While in Germany, they made their family complete, finding their son, Michael.
Emaline worked at several jobs over the years such as High School Business Teacher, legal secretary, administrative clerk at the FCC, and town treasurer for the Town of Wellington, Maine, where she and her husband settled after he retired from the Army.
It was here in Wellington that she became known for her quilting, gardening, cooking, and piano playing.
Emaline McClintock, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend will be missed by many including her surviving son, Michael McClintock and his wife Lisa of Athens, Maine; sister, Mary Helen Coleman of Somerset, Pa.; grandchildren, Stacie McClintock and her husband Daniel Hatch of Portland, Maine, Shawn McClintock and his wife Melissa of Holland, Mich., Matthew and his wife Haley of Lenoir, N.C., and Alexandra of Rochester, N.Y.; and her six great-grandchildren, Sydnie, Maven, Maddisen, Teaghen, Ella, and Finneas.
She joined her father and mother, Ira and Hattie Sanner, her brother William Sanner, and most importantly her soulmate, Estol McClintock. Mac and Emaline together for always.
There will be a graveside service at the Maine Veteran's Cemetery in Augusta; the date is to be determined.
Arrangements are under the care of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
The family expresses sincere thanks to the staff at the Augusta Veteran's Home who cared for her during her battle with Alzheimer's disease.
