Elizabeth L. (Bizeau) Carey
1915 - 2018
HARTLAND - Elizabeth L. (Bizeau) Carey, 102, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018, in Skowhegan.
She was born on May 27, 1915, in St. Albans, Maine, the daughter of the late Viola Cully and Thomas McKenzie. She had worked at Baxter Canning Company, Scott Webb Memorial Hospital and Sanfield Rehab and Nursing in Hartland. She enjoyed working in her garden and helping others when she could. She was a member of the Hartland First Baptist Church and the Senior Citizens Club of Hartland.
She is survived by her son, Gordon Bizeau, of St. Albans; sister, Eva Baird, of Florida; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special grandson, Sid Bizeau; and three very special friends, Beverly Blais, Pat Curtis and Jessica Kennedy.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Sydney Bizeau; her second husband, Charles Carey; son, Joseph Bizeau, and his wife, Gertrude; daughter, Margaret Gardner; grandson, Gary Gardner; granddaughter, Nancy Simpson; sister, Kay Tucker; and two brothers, Alva Cully and Earl Cully.
A special thank you to the staff at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Elizabeth.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the Hartland First Baptist Church, 10 Elm St., in Hartland, with the Rev. Tom Brown officiating. A committal will immediately follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Route 152, in Hartland. Following the committal there will be a gathering in the church fellowship hall and all are welcome.
