Cleophas Lavallee
1937 - 2018
MOSCOW - Cleophas Lavallee, 80, passed away on March 3, 2018, at Redington Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan. He was born on July 30, 1937, in St. Zacharie, Quebec, the son of Antone and Anaise Lavallee.
He came to the United States at a very young age to work. On April 25, 1964, he married Ginette Poulin at North Anson Catholic Church. He worked for WoodTek, Frank Brouchu, and Scott Paper. He enjoyed going to his camp at Kingsbury Pond, going to Florida for the winter, snowmobiling, making maple syrup, old tractors, feeding deer at this camp in Moscow, and going to Williams General Store for his morning coffee.
He loved being outdoors, visiting his sons. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He was very proud of his sons, he supported them in what they wanted to do. He loved his wife of 53 years. He loved his two grandchildren, Ava and Logan Lavallee. He was a special man, devoted husband and family man. He has touched the lives of so many people he met in his many years.
Cleophas is survived by his wife, Ginette; his two sons, Carroll and his wife Jenny of Moscow and Marco and his wife Valerie and their two children Ava and Logan of Weare, N.H.; his three sisters, Ernstine, Helene of Canada, Florence and her husband Paul Doyon of Maine; several nieces and nephews in Canada and Maine.
He was predeceased by his parents Antone and Anaise Lavallee; his four brothers, Marc, Elie, Oliva, and Maurice.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. in St. Peters Roman Catholic Church in Bingham, Maine. A reception will be held at North Country following the Mass. There will be a graveside service in the spring in Robinson Memorial Cemetery.
