WINDSOR -- Samantha M. Davis-Gay, 33, died along with her husband, Skip, unexpectedly Saturday, May 12, 2012. She was born in Waterville on Feb. 23, 1979, a daughter of Randall E. and Doreen (Plaisted) Davis.

Mrs. Davis-Gay was a graduate of Messalonskee High School, class of 1998.

She had been employed by the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.

Mrs. Davis-Gay was a member of the Windsor Historical Society and the Mid-Maine 4x4 Club.

Sam loved the outdoors, hunting, ice fishing, fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, hiking and working in her garden.

She was predeceased by her husband, Reginald H. "Skip" Gay Jr.; her maternal grandmother, Marie M. (Bechard) Plaisted; and her paternal grandmother, Mary (Yeaton) Keniston.

Mrs. Davis-Gay is survived by her parents, Randall E. Davis Sr. and his wife, Doreen (Plaisted) Davis, of Belgrade; her brother, Randall E. Davis Jr., and his fiancee, Abby Schofield, of Waterville; her maternal grandfather, Delbert A. Plaisted of Belgrade; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Plummer Funeral Home, 983 Ridge Road, Route 32, Windsor, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Route 32, Windsor.
