WINDSOR -- Reginald H. "Skip" Gay Jr., 41, died, along with his wife, Samantha Davis-Gay, unexpectedly Saturday, May 12, 2012. He was born in Annapolis, Md., on Nov. 3, 1970, a son of Reginald H. "Skip" Gay Sr. and Sandra J. (Hubbard) Gay.

Skip was a graduate of Erskine Academy, class of 1989.

He was self-employed, owning Hard Core 4x4 in Windsor. He previously worked as a crane operator at Reed & Reed.

Skip was a member of the Windsor Historical Society and the Mid-Maine 4x4 Club. He had a passion for racing "Big Jack," his mud racer, with his nephew, Nathan, winning many trophies and sponsorships.

Skip is survived by his parents, Reginald H. "Skip" Gay Sr. and Sandra J. (Hubbard) Gay, of Windsor; two sisters, Jo-Ellen Scott of Augusta and Linda Viens and her husband, Gerry, of Wyoming, Ohio; a niece and three nephews, Nathan and Kristin Scott, and Matthew and Christopher Viens; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Plummer Funeral Home, 983 Ridge Road, Route 32, Windsor, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Route 32, Windsor.
