NORTH ANSON -- On March 8, 2011, Rhonda lost her courageous battle with various cancers at Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan, with her family by her side.

She was born in Skowhegan, Dec. 15, 1953, to Burton Savage and Frances (Coro) Savage of North Anson.

She attended school in North Anson and graduated from Carrabec High School in 1972.

She worked at the U.S. Post Office in North Anson for 37 years, 25 of these years as the post master. She was also a trustee of the Anson Water District and an officer of the Somerset Cemetery Association.

Rhonda was predeceased by her husband, Paul Clukey; her father, Burton Savage; and a brother, Craig Savage. She is survived by her son, Steven Clukey, of North Anson; her mother, Frances Savage, of North Anson; a twin sister, Donna Baker, and companion Jeff Hayden of Anson; a brother, Brent Savage, and wife Deborah of North Anson; a sister, Ramona McLaughlin, and husband Wayne of Embden; three nieces: Janelle Savage of North Anson, Cindy Russell and husband Chris of Caratunk, and Patty Erickson and family of Somers Point, N.J.; nephews Daniel and Christopher Savage of North Anson, Eric Baker and wife Bonny of Embden, Scott Baker and fiancŽe Dawn of Clinton, Jerry McLaughlin and wife Kelly of East Madison, and Terry McLaughlin and wife Eva of Skowhegan; along with several grand-nieces and -nephews. She is also survived by three stepsons: Paul Clukey II and daughter Kylie of Biddeford, David Clukey and wife Katy and son Logan of South Portland, and Michael Clukey and wife Debi of Biddeford.

Rhonda's family was very special to her, and she enjoyed spending time with all of them. Rhonda made many very special friends while working at the Post Office and she cherished each and every one of them.

The family would like to thank the Redington-Fairview General Hospital Team for the special loving care she was always given there.

There will be a graveside service later in the spring at Somerset Cemetery in North Anson, with the time and date will be announced.

Cremation and service arrangements are by Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple St., Madison.
