William Lashon
1964 - 2017
SKOWHEGAN - William Lashon, 53, of Skowhegan, passed away on Saturday Jan. 6, 2018, at his home in Skowhegan. Bill was born on Oct. 31, 1964, in Skowhegan, the son of Francis A. and Shirley (Brown) Lashon of Skowhegan.
He graduated from Skowhegan Area High School in 1983. Bill continued his education at Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute where he attained an Associate Degree in Computer Electronics in 1985.
He was employed for 25 years with what was formerly Edwards Systems in Pittsfield and remained through several ownership changes. For the past 17 years Bill was employed with the Town of Pittsfield's Community Theater.
Bill enjoyed many hobbies, including biking, hiking, astronomy, reading and sailing, to name a few.
Bill was predeceased by his father Francis. He is survived by his mother Shirley; his sister Jacqueline and husband James Manocchia of Waterville; nephews, Nicholas Manocchia and wife Victoria of Waterville, Jonathan Manocchia and wife Natisha of Farmingdale; two great nephews, one great niece; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be no visiting hours, but a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Jan. 11, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Water St., Skowhegan.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
