SOUTH CHINA -- On March 22, 2013, Tamara Jetton crossed over into Spirit. Her life partner, Marguerite Walker, was at her side as she passed.

Tamara traveled throughout the United States as a young girl before settling down in Maine, where she most recently held a position as special education director for Regional School Unit 3. In addition to her work as a special ed director, she was also a gifted spiritual counselor whose talents will be greatly missed.

She was a member of Temple Heights Spiritualist Camp and Church, and served several Spiritualist churches in Maine. She spoke with compassion and thought-provoking wisdom. She will be remembered for her quick wit and great sense of integrity. She was a forthright champion for those who could not speak for themselves. She was passionate about being a steward of all creatures great and small and loved a good murder mystery.

She was predeceased by her mother, June Shea; her aunt, Muriel DaCorte; and her father, U.L. Jetton.

She is survived by her life partner, Marguerite; as well as several cousins who live in both Massachusetts and Maine. A celebration of life service will be scheduled this spring at the Augusta Spiritualist Church, located at 113 Townsend Road, Augusta.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward a memorial fund being set up in her name. Contributions may be sent to Marguerite Walker of 21 Old Windsor Road, South China, ME 04358.
