Sharon Lee Rackliff
1944 - 2017
DRESDEN - Sharon Lee Rackliff, 72, passed away peacefully at her home in Dresden on June 17, 2017. She was born in Gardiner, on Sept. 28, 1944, the daughter of Sam and Alice (Haskell) Trussell.
She was educated in local schools and went on to be a homemaker, raising her family.
Sharon enjoyed gardening, baking, and sewing; she was known for making her own clothes. She loved all of her many pets throughout her life. Sharon was a devout Christian attending the Grace Bible Church in Gorham, where she was especially fond of Pastor Bob White's sermons. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and the Lions Club.
Sharon is survived by her children, Scott Rackliff, Catherine Buechler and her husband Ken, and a special daughter-in-law, Sarah Rackliff; as well as her grandchildren, Cody, Kimberly, Brittany, Courtney and Victoria. She also leaves her siblings, Cheryl Brunell, Linda Parks, Beverly Accord and Mike Trussell; and special friends Clarice Taylor and Barbara "Mother" Shorette.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Sam Trussell in 2006, and Alice Trussell in 2011; and her husband, Gerald Rackliff, in 1999.
Services for Sharon will be held at 11:45 a.m. Friday, July 28, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison, followed by a Celebration of Life in Dresden. Arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond;
