ROBERT PATTERSON
1950 - 2017
AUGUSTA - Robert Patterson known to everyone as "Bob" or "Bumpy" to close family and friends, 67, of Augusta passed away on Nov. 2, 2017 at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta surrounded by the love of his family. Bob was born in Salisbury, Md. on Sept. 16, 1950 to Horace and Ethel Patterson.
He was formerly of Spring Lake Heights, N.J. then married and moved to Wall, N.J. with his family where he lived for 27 years.
Bob has been a member of St. James Episcopal Church of Bradley Beach, N.J. since 1972. He was also a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 9 of Englishtown, N.J. Since June 22, 1970, and spent his career as a pipefitter. Upon his retirement he and his wife made their dream move, to their Maine paradise on Three Cornered Pond in Augusta.
Bob loved spending time in his and his son's shop Timeless Treasures, and the Gun Shop of Hallowell. He enjoyed going shooting at several local shooting ranges with his children, grandchildren and lifelong friends Richard Getchell and Chuck Gunderson. In addition he loved piloting family and friends around their beautiful lake in the pontoon boat and listening to the loons.
Bob was predeceased by his son Jared Patterson; and parents Horace and Ethel Patterson.
He is survived by his loving wife Gay Patterson; son Adam Patterson and his wife Mary of Augusta, daughter Gabrielle Krol and her husband Scott of Toms River, N.J.; granddaughter Allison Beeckel and her husband John of China; and a grandson Jared Patterson of Augusta.
A memorial service will be held at St. Matthew's/Barnabas Episcopal Church located at 20 Union St. Hallowell, Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 at 2 p.m.. Friends and families are welcome to attend.
