Regina "Gina" Abbott
1977 - 2018
MADISON
- Regina "Gina" Abbott, 40, passed away on June 23, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family after a long hard fought battle with cancer.
She was born Dec. 23, 1977, the daughter of Roma Edward of Skowhegan. She was a lifelong resident of Skowhegan and Madison. She was educated in the Skowhegan school system and she later got her CNA License.
In February 2012 she married the love of her life, Matthew Abbott of Madison. They spent many summers on some kind of adventure from Youngs Lobster Pound or just a ride to Jackman. Gina always said it's the little things in life that truly make you happy.
One of Gina's hobbies was to cook. She spent a lot of time learning how to cook by watching her favorite person, her Grampie. She enjoyed making sure that everyone had their favorite dish on any holiday.
Gina's greatest joy were her three girls. She was an amazing mother who cherished her girls and always wanted the absolute best for them.
She is survived by her husband, Matthew Abbott; mother Roma Edwards; sister, Roxanne Annis and husband Eric; daughters, Reana Abbott Lyric Nalley Dickey and wife Nicholle Nally Dickey, Jayda Nalley and fiance Brandon Lacasse; two grandsons, Landon Nally and Wyatt Nally Dickey; and her fur babies, Bubby and Paws. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Willie and Norma Foss.
The family wishes to say a special Thank You to Maine General Hospice nurses, Sarah B. and Michelle Demchak. We would have been lost without you.
