Penny Antz Bynum
1955 - 2018
GARDINER - Penny Antz Bynum, of Farmington, died peacefully on Feb. 28, 2018, at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness. Penny was born in Montpelier, Vt., on May 15, 1955, as a twin to her beloved brother Edwin.
Penny grew up in Gardiner and graduated from Gardiner Area High School in the Class of '73. Penny moved around the state and eventually settled in the Farmington area, where she lived for many years with her beloved partner, Jack Stanley.
Penny enjoyed cooking, crafts, hunting, fishing, gardening and simply conversing with people, as she was quite outgoing and friendly.
Penny has two daughters, Leah Grant of Norridgewock, and Lindsay Libby of Idaho; six grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.
Visiting hours to celebrate Penny's life will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., in Gardiner. Burial ceremonies will be later in the spring/summer this year.
