AUGUSTA -- Milton R. Seekins, 80, of Waterville, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Maine Veterans' Home in Augusta. He was born in Palmyra on April 10, 1932, son of Donald and Thelma (Mathews) Seekins.

He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He worked many years in the shoe industry as a stitching room machinist. Milton was a member of the American Legion. He loved hunting, fishing and fixing antique radios. He liked playing pool and spending time at camp in Hartland on Indian Pond.

He is survived by his son, Robert Seekins, and wife, Paula, of Winslow; two grandchildren, Lorie Seekins, of Vassalboro, and Kelly Pelletier, of South China. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann (Macsarko) Seekins, who passed away in 1995.

Memorial services will be held in the spring at the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Augusta; time and date to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Milton's memory to the , 383 U.S. Route 1, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074; or the Maine Veterans' Home, 310 Cony Road, Augusta, ME 04330.
