Lloyd A. York Sr.
1949 - 2017
OAKLAND - Lloyd A. York Sr. passed away Oct. 9, 2017, at Maine General Medical Center in Waterville. He was born in Waterville on Aug. 1, 1949, the middle son of Vernon York and Sadie Camilla York. He attended Winslow schools.
He was a route salesman for various companies, including Harris Bakery, Humpty Dumpty and Michaud Distributors; and since 2005, at Fred's Coffee in Waterville.
The joy of his life was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
His tremendous love for his family will be passed on for generations and will always be remembered. He taught them so many lessons of life and love, as they remember all the family gatherings and celebrations, which he enjoyed so dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Veron and Wayne.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Brenda Dickey York; his children, Lloyd York Jr., and wife Lisa Jewel York; Jessica Landberg, and husband Tom; and Steve York, and his wife Erin; his grandchildren, Sonya Webb, Alexis York, Olivia and Vincent Landberg, and Molly, Isla, and Carter York; as well as one great-granddaughter, Abby Webb.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, Centerpoint Church, on the West River Road in Waterville.
