Kevin Michael Bridger
1987 - 2017
WATERVILLE - Kevin Michael Bridger, 29, died of cancer on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
Kevin was born in Cambridge, Mass. on Oct. 9, 1987, with a smile on his face and a genuine goodness in his heart. He was the oldest child of Drew and Beth Bridger. Kevin's early years were spent in Canaan where he fell in love with tractors, and often rode on the hay wagon with his little brother Bryan while their dad tossed bales, and where he welcomed his baby sister Gabrielle. The family moved to Waterville just in time for Kevin to begin 6th grade. He graduated from Waterville High School in 2005. During his school years, he formed friendships with some of the coolest kids around. Those friendships stayed strong until the day he died.
Kevin was most recently employed by The Loving Cup and by Gouda Boys. His work brought him to music festivals and concerts all over the country. During brief periods between travels he enjoyed hiking, playing disc golf, doing crossfit, and catching up with friends. Kevin's adventurous spirit was contagious. He loved traveling, good music, good food, and good beer. Most of all, he loved his family and his friends.
Kevin leaves behind his parents, Drew and Beth; his brother Bryan, his sister Gabrielle; his great-grandmother; his grandparents; aunts, uncles; cousins, and countless friends. Kevin touched the lives of more people than he would ever have imagined. His sense of humor, his generosity, his loving spirit will be missed tremendously.
Friends and family are welcome to gather on Monday, Aug. 14, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main Street, Fairfield. A celebration of life will be held this fall.
The family is sincerely grateful to the medical staff who cared for Kevin and laughed with him through endless tests and procedures. The kindness and caring that Kevin received will always be remembered.
