Joseph R. Mullen
1936 - 2017
CHELSEA - Joseph R. Mullen, 80, died peacefully at his home on Oct. 3, 2017. He was born Nov. 10, 1936, to the late Terrance J. and Yvonne (Gauvin) Mullen.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Seavey, of Cherryfield; and Terry, and her husband David Fraser, of Chelsea; two grandsons, Christopher Mullen, and his family; and Andrew Seavey; and several nieces.
He was preceded by his wife, Lillian M. (Tenan); his brother, William G. Mullen; several nephews.
He served 22 years in the military, including two tours of Vietnam. After retiring from the military, he had worked as a teacher, for Wyman's factories, as well as night watchman at the C. & D. Patch.
Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at Bragdon-Kelley in Milbridge, with graveside services with military honors following at Morse Cemetery in Cherryfield. Afterwards, friends and family are invited to have refreshments at the Narraguagus Snowmobile Club. Online condolences may be shared at: www.bragdonkelley.com.
