WATERVILLE - Jeannette M. Vigue, 92, received her angel wings from injuries she sustained in a car accident on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017. She was born in Waterville on Feb. 26, 1925, the daughter of Joseph and Leona Lagasse. On June 19, 1941, she married her love, Valaire Vigue, and together they raised 11 children.
Wife, Mother, Meme, Big Meme, and sister, there was no other like Jeannette. She was an amazing woman who always had a radiant smile. She loved her family with all her heart, she was their rock. Jeanette loved going out to eat, going to casinos and playing bingo. On Friday and Saturday nights you would find her going out to listen and dance to country music with her sister Margaret and several friends. Jeannette worked many years at Alfond Youth Center in their kitchen, she was affectionately known at ""Meme"" to hundreds of children.
