PALERMO - Jacqueline M. "Jackie" Woodward, 79, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, July 25, 2017.
She was born in Boston, Mass., on Aug. 18, 1937, the daughter of the late George and Mary (Sanderson) Delaney.
Mrs. Woodward had been employed for 25 years at the Kennebec Journal, retiring as head production secretary.
She later worked with her husband, Norman, as co-owner/operator of the 1-7-10 Bowling Alley in Augusta.
She was predeceased by her husband, Norman A. Woodward; and her brothers and sisters: Phyllis Corbett, Marion Applegate, Eddie Delaney and twin brothers Donald and Delmar Delaney.
Mrs. Woodward is survived by five children: Steve Goedecke, of Augusta; Jim Goedecke, of South China; Craig Goedecke, of Hull, Mass.; Mark Goedecke, of Ponte Verda, Fla.; and Darline Harris,. of Troy, N.H.; a stepson, Daniel Woodward, and his wife Tina, of Hallowell; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may visit from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial and committal prayers will follow in the new Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. You gave us life, you love so much, so be with Woody and know again, someday, we will all be together in the end. You were loved so much, Mom!"
