Dale M. Hanson
1936 - 2017
AUGUSTA - Dale M. Hanson, 81, of the Strickland Loop Rd., Livermore Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017, at Augusta Rehabilitation.
He was born on Oct. 17, 1936, in Wilton, the son of Clarence and Blanche Hanson. Dale worked for Carleton Woolen Mill in Winthrop for over 28 years, retiring in 1998. Dale was an avid golfer and fisherman. In his later years he enjoyed playing bingo and socializing with his bingo lady friends. He also enjoyed going out to breakfast at the Lunch Pad, picking berries, fiddle heads and knitting scarfs for family and friends. He just enjoyed making people smile.
Dale was predeceased by his parents; daughter Anna Maria Hanson; brothers Gerald Hanson, Jack Hanson and Kermit Hanson. He is survived by his daughters Lori Boynton and husband Gary of Readfield, Rosanne Pease and husband Randy of Monmouth, Angela Floyd of Dresden, Rebbecca Hanson of Livermore Falls, sons Dale Hanson Truland of Vassalboro, Joshua Hanson and wife Christian of Lewiston; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, Jan. 6, at 1 p.m. at the North Monmouth Community Church, Main Street, North Monmouth. Burial service will take place in the spring. Arrangements are under the care of Funeral Alternatives Group, 198 Western Ave. Augusta, ME 04330
