Barbara Germaine Heil
1956 - 2018
WATERVILLE - On July 4, 2018, Barbara Germaine Heil passed away suddenly, but peacefully at her home in Waterville.
Barbara was born in Bridgeport, Conn., on March 15, 1956 the daughter of Robert and Betty (Schrieber) Heil. The family later moved to Newtown, Conn., where she was raised with six other siblings.
Barb attended Newtown High School. Once out of school she immersed herself into the working class. She worked in the food industry for many years. She was an Executive Manager for the Franchise of King Conn Corporation, Fairfield, Conn., Burger King Restaurants' for 25-plus years. "She loved to meet new people."
Later in life Barb left the business to take care of her mom who suffered from Alzheimer's Disease. Shortly after her mom's passing she moved to Maine to be closer to her sisters in February of 2015.
Barbara loved her many pets, always bringing home strays. Freedom, Honey and Bell were the loves of her life.
Barbara was predeceased by her father, Robert P. Heil in December of 1983; her mother, Elizabeth (Betty) M. Heil in October of 2008; her youngest sister, Lori A. Heil, in December of 2015.
She is survived by her oldest sister, Linda Decker of Augusta; oldest brother, Alan Heil, of Mountain View Calif., her sister, Catherine Heil-LaPointe and her spouse, Frances LaPointe, of South China; brother, Robert and his wife, Debi Heil, of Ocala Fla.; and youngest brother, William Heil, of Hollywood, Fla.
Also survived by nieces and nephews, Alan Decker of Waterbury Conn., Tanya Heil of New Milford, Conn., Melissa Heil of Oakland Maine; Austin and Brittany Heil, and great-niece, Jamie Heil, all of Ocala, Fla.
Even though Barbara has left us too soon, she will forever be in our hearts!! We Love You.
At the request of the family members, there will be no services at this time.Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, One Church Street, Augusta. The family would like to thank the Bread of Life Ministries, Goodwill Industries and the Warming Center for their efforts in getting Barb some assistance during the last six months of her life.
