INDIANAPOLIS -- Lloyd D. Reinhardt, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday after a battle with cancer. He was born on Aug. 9, 1928, to Adolf and Hulda Reinhardt in Centralia, Illinois.

Lloyd had an engaging personality, was a friend to many, stranger to none. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in the Korean War, and retired as a superintendent at Ford Motor Co. He was an avid pilot, reader, traveler. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

The world will be missing a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by three daughters, Tia (Douglas) Martin, Lynn (Jack) Wolf, and Annesa (Steve) Brewer; plus nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia, whom he married in 1957.

A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Visitation will begin at noon at the funeral home. A private entombment will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
