JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Janice Marie McAllister, 50, passed away on Aug. 22, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Waterville, Maine, on June 20, 1963, to Connie and Arthur Noonan. Jan graduated from Waterville High School, class of '81, and the Wilma Boyd School. She lived in Freeport, Maine, and Sparta, N.J., before moving to Jacksonville, Fla., in 2001. While in Jacksonville, Jan was very involved at Assumption Catholic School as HSA President, substitute teacher and volunteer in many other aspects. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach and spending time with her family. Jan was known for her warm heart, selflessness and overall good nature that touched every person she met. She had a way of making anyone feel so special and cared for.

She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate of 30 years, David; children: Ryan, Amanda and Graham Lazarus; granddaughter Quinn Joy Lazarus; mother Connie Noonan; siblings: Jackie Kellenberger, Tony Noonan and Patrick Noonan; and many other relatives and dear friends that brought so much happiness to her life.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 112 Silver St., Waterville, with the Rev. Alfred Jacques officiating. A reception will follow immediately at Best Western Grand Hotel, 375 Main St., Waterville.
