BEDFORD, N.H. -- Irene W. (Arsenault) Church, 87, died on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at the Laurel Center, in Bedford.

Mrs. Church was born on March 23, 1925, in Madison, Maine, the daughter of the late Anthony G. and Elva M. (Taylor) Arsenault.

She was raised and educated in Madison.

She retired as head librarian in Madison after 50 years.

Mrs. Church enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing bridge. She also was an avid reader. Mrs. Church was a former member of the Home for Little Wanderers, which helped support local orphans.

Members of her family include her daughter, Sandra Harding, and her husband, William, of Manchester, N.H.; one granddaughter, DeeAnn Hibbard, and DeeAnn's son, Chance R. Brown, of Denver, Colo. Mrs. Church was predeceased by her husband, Glendower Church; and her son, Michael C. Wilder; grandson Michael A. Wilder; and her brother, Anthony Arsenault Jr.

There are no calling hours or services planned at this time. Interment will take place at a later date in Forest Hill Cemetery, in Madison.
