CANAAN -- Bonnie Jean Bailey, 59, died Dec. 2, 2012, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Unit, with her family by her side. She was born in Hartland on Sept. 21, 1953, the daughter of Wendell J. and Anita (Murry) Ramsdell Sr.

She was educated in Skowhegan area schools and graduated from Skowhegan High School in 1971, then continued her studies at Beal College. On Aug. 31, 1974, she married Dennis Bailey at Lake George, Skowhegan. She worked at Delongs Sportswear and Sappi. Bonnie had many interests and hobbies, including NASCAR races, watching the History Channel, the soaps, and spending time with family and friends.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 38 years, Dennis Bailey, of Canaan; a son, Chad Bailey, and wife Annette, of Canaan; a daughter, Beth Engberg, and husband Burton, of Canaan; granddaughter Nicole Bailey, of Canaan; grandson Joshua Bailey, of Canaan; two brothers, Wendell Ramsdell Jr., of Canaan, and Edward Ramsdell, of Canaan; mother-in-law Agnes Grant, of Harmony; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations in Bonnie's memory to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, 1220 B East Joppa Road, Suite 332, Baltimore, MD 21286.
